Save Japan Dolphins is an Earth Island Institute campaign led by activist Ric O'Barry, star of Oscar-winning documentary The Cove. Save Japan Dolphins is committed to ending the slaughter of thousands of wild dolphins a year in Japan. The campaign also promotes dolphin conservation and anti-captivity efforts around the world.

Each year in the small fishing town of Taiji, Japan, thousands of wild dolphins are herded to an out-of-sight cove where dolphin trainers from around the world come to select the desirable dolphins for dolphinariums and “swim with the dolphins” programs. The remaining dolphins are brutally slaughtered, a practice that is hidden from the citizens of Japan and the rest of the world. Save Japan Dolphins has been an integral part of exposing this secret.

As a proud partner of Save Japan Dolphins, EcoJoia provides merchandise to support dolphin conservation initiatives. 25-50% of every sale of EcoJoia’s Save Japan Dolphins merchandise is donated directly to the Save Japan Dolphins campaign. View Save Japan Dolphins Merchandise or Donate today.
