Save Japan Dolphins is an Earth Island Institute campaign led by activist Ric O'Barry, star of Oscar winning documentary The Cove. Save Japan Dolphins is committed to ending the slaughter of thousands of wild dolphins a year in Japan. The campaign also promotes dolphin conservation and anti-captivity efforts around the world.

Each year in the small fishing town of Taiji, Japan, thousands of wild dolphins are herded to an out-of-sight cove where dolphin trainers from around the world come to select the desirable dolphins for dolphinariums and “swim with the dolphins” programs. The remaining dolphins are brutally slaughtered, a practice that is hidden from the citizens of Japan and the rest of the world. Save Japan Dolphins has been an integral part of exposing this secret.

As a proud partner of Save Japan Dolphins, EcoJoia provides merchandise to support dolphin conservation initiatives. 25-50% of every sale of EcoJoia’s Save Japan Dolphins merchandise is donated directly to the Save Japan Dolphins campaign. View Save Japan Dolphins Merchandise or Donate today.
